Founder of Learning Equity New Delhi, Arav Talwar is an enthusiastic student at Wellington College, where his academic interests lie in History, English, and Economics. Arav intends to study History and is particularly drawn to the post-colonial period.
Beyond the classroom, he has volunteered as a remote tutor for Tiger Kloof School through Wellington College, conducting virtual sessions for students aged 5-8 in a rural educational setting. He has also raised £500 in support of inclusive education initiatives targeted at students with special needs at Tiger Kloof School. Arav also volunteers at Tamana Special School in Delhi, where he supports classroom instruction for students with special needs, assisting in teaching mathematics, English, and pronunciation, adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles, and providing one-on-one academic support to students with more severe learning difficulties to ensure focused and tailored guidance.
Learning Equity New Delhi was born from all these experiences, a project built on the belief that all children, no matter what their learning capabilities are, deserve equally good access to education and an equally good learning environment. Through it, he hopes to reach children whose difficulties have often been mistaken for indifference, and to provide them with a space to learn like any other child.
